Designing a dynamic brand identity in the center of an ever-changing industry.

How do we present a unique vision of crypto to a broader audience? How can we let people interact with each other in an innovative way? How do we visualize the first Social Wallet? All these questions came up when we started working with Ryder.

Secure. Simple. Social.

We found a solution to these questions by creating an identity that goes beyond the frequent mistakes that existing companies in the crypto industry make. By finding a way to get crypto out of this ‘dark space’, we developed an identity that is focusing on showing the accessibility and human side behind their brand, with a great sense of social interaction between the people.

The identity consists of different shapes that can move and change their form repeatedly. The shapes and patterns become a design language that is perfectly translating the changing environment of the crypto world and web3.

    Why is branding so important for crypto?

    Avoiding a B2B aesthetic and taking brave steps in making an original and characteristic branding will help create a community and gain public trust. Collaborative features are a great tool for establishing a connection with your audience - anything from dynamic animations on the website or adjustable brand elements. By rewarding interaction, the branding simplifies the task of identifying with the currency a user chooses.

    What is a Social Wallet?

    Ryder allows you to use your identity or NFT to enter a space, it is an all-access pass to web 3 applications or events, such as crypto conferences, concerts, and more. It can also be used to send a blockchain transaction by simply tapping your Ryder on your mobile phone. In case of loss or theft, Ryder can recover your assets by splitting your private keys over multiple trusted Ryders and retrieve your assets by tapping them together.

    What makes Ryder special?

    Ryder saw a need to make a product and design that moves away from the trading and cold-storage narrative and focuses on a more modern crypto user. A user that might not be as focused on the core of the technology, but instead on its usability, how it weaves into their everyday life, and how they can connect their on-chain identity with their real-life identity. Ryder wanted to change the perception of a hardware wallet from being an out-of-site device to an opportunity to extend the user’s identity.
